Memphis Stone & Gravel, A Granite Company, is entering an exciting time in our history. I am excited to announce an organizational change that I believe will better align the skills and leadership necessary to achieve our future growth objectives through three primary business units: Exploration and Planning, Land Management, and Production.

Corbin Moore Promoted to Director of Exploration and Planning
In this role, Corbin will supervise and direct all exploration, mine planning, permitting and entitlement work necessary to develop the resources needed to sustain the mining operations. He will also manage resource-related contracts and bond requirements, including obtaining final bond release for all our reclamation projects.
Corbin is uniquely qualified to lead this division of the company. His position encompasses a very specialized skill set within the industry that takes years of experience to develop, and Corbin has done the hard work needed to step into this role.

Dave Leverett Appointed Director of Land Management
In addition to land management, Dave will supervise land prep, stripping (overburden and clay gravel extraction), reclamation, erosion control, and monitoring required for all earth-moving activity.
Prior to Dave’s current role of managing the company’s environmental permitting and surveying, he managed all our earth moving. Thus, I have complete confidence that Dave can lead our stripping and reclamation efforts with a continued focus on planning, environmental compliance, and efficiency.

Eddie Ragsdale Appointed Director of Production
Eddie will continue to supervise and direct all material processing and crushing operations at our wash plants. In addition, he will manage reclamation work for our plant locations.
With decades of experience, few people in the country can match Eddie’s knowledge and skill in the sand and gravel business. We look forward to Eddie’s leadership and display of his craft to show the community that land under our stewardship can be returned to other productive uses when we finish mining it. This, single-handedly, is the most important marketing that we do as a company and overall industry.
As we continue to invest in our people, new resources, and mining facilities, Corbin, Dave and Eddie will help ensure we start from a place of deep knowledge and wisdom about what it takes to do what we do. Please join me in thanking these individuals for their contributions to our company as we move forward into the next chapter of Memphis Stone & Gravel’s history!
