Memphis Stone & Gravel (MSG), a Granite company, is thrilled to announce the promotion of Alan Parks to Vice President. In this leadership role, Alan will oversee all day-to-day operations of MSG, including wash plants, prospecting, and environmental. In addition, he will work closely with the maintenance division for plant upkeep. Alan will report to Pat Nelson, MSG President.
Throughout his career with MSG, Alan has fulfilled many positions that will equip him for success in this new role, including Geologist and Exploration/Planning/Environmental Manager. In his most recent role as VP of Resource Development, Alan has been extremely active in building relationships throughout the community with local students and residents through field trips.
Alan also regularly engages industry partners as we work together to promote the importance of aggregate resources in communities. With involvement in the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) and the Memphis Archaeological and Geological Society (MAGS), Alan continues to serve as a strong advocate for the industry.
