Announcing Don Fletcher As Vice President Of Quality Control

Having joined the team back in 2011 as a project engineer, Don Fletcher has exuded an unwavering “all-in” attitude to make Memphis Stone & Gravel and sister company Lehman-Roberts the best they can be. In doing so, he has filled an array of roles aimed at helping us achieve those goals.

In 2019, that consisted of stepping in to fill the shoes of Director of Quality Control. Fast forward 5 years, and Don has led the quality control division to run innumerable tests and put their stamp of approval on countless batches of aggregates and asphalt. Thus, it is with great honor that we announce his recent promotion to Vice President of Quality Control.

In this role, much of Don’s current duties will remain – supervising incoming and outgoing materials that span across the sister companies’ entire operations. Don is also responsible for meeting specifications for and field testing on various construction materials including soil, aggregate, and asphalt. However, Don will also be taking on the added responsibility of guiding our people and techniques to new horizons.

“Not only has Don shown immense care in the quality of our materials, but he has demonstrated that same care in the leadership of our people,” said Pat Nelson, President. “I am grateful for his contributions over the years and look forward to that continued partnership.”

John Paul Finerson, Vice President of Production, had incredibly high praise to share for his counterpart, sharing, “Over the past 30 years, Don has been my fellow engineering student, professional colleague, customer, and co-worker, but most importantly, he has been a true and trusted friend. He has filled various operational positions in his time with Memphis Stone Gravel and Lehman-Roberts – basically wherever and whenever he was needed.”

We thank Don for being a continued advocate for our industry, our culture, and our people. John Paul put it best when he closed by adding, “Don’s promotion to Vice President is both well-deserved and overdue.”
