DeSoto Plant and Bulldog Crusher Team Receive MSHA Safety Awards

By: Taylor McPherson, Director of Communications and Community Engagement

In March, our team got word that the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) of the U.S. Department of Labor awarded the team at DeSoto Plant a Certificate of Achievement in Safety. The certificate recognized the team’s accomplishment of working 32,374 hours without a lost workday injury in 2019. The Bulldog Crusher Team was also awarded the honor for working 5,066 hours without a lost workday injury that same year.

Eddie Ragsdale, Superintendent of Wash Plants, shared, “It makes me proud to see these teams get any award, especially safety [recognition] from MSHA. Our guys really watch out for each other and try to avoid all accidents [in the process].”
