On August 21, the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) of the US Department of Labor awarded the team at Perry Plant a Certificate of Achievement in Safety. The certificate was awarded for the team working 23,450 hours in 2015 without a lost workday injury.

Eddie Ragsdale, Operations Manager for Memphis Stone & Gravel, gathered crew members, including those working at Perry in 2015, as well as new employees and the Big Orange Crusher operators, for a celebration. “These guys work hard every day and they’re dedicated to doing their jobs right,” said Eddie.  “Even though the recognition was a long time coming, it didn’t take away from the fact they did it without one lost time injury. I’m real proud of those guys.”
