MEMPHIS, Tenn., January 11, 2017 – On January 16, Lehman-Roberts Company and Memphis Stone & Gravel Company employees will join together, once again, in support of the Soulsville community.

“We are thrilled for the chance to give back to our Soulsville community for the third year in a row,” said Pat Nelson, president of Lehman-Roberts Company. “Our main office has been in this neighborhood for more than 70 years, and we have long said that our primary purpose is to help the communities in which we live and work.”

The 2017 Day of Service will include partnerships with Advance Memphis, Alcy Ball Development Association, KnowledgeQuest Oasis of Hope and Soulsville USA, in addition to Lehman-Roberts’ renewed partnership with Clean Memphis and the community surrounding LeMoyne-Owen College. Employee teams will remove debris from vacant properties, clear dense underbrush along walkways to area schools, and refurbish various facilities, including pressure washing and painting. The companies will also jointly donate materials and equipment use, along with labor, for a variety of improvement projects.
