Spring 2012 Alan Parks gives presentation at AGG1 Acadmey in Charlotte, NC titled “Broadband Alarms:  A Tangible Part of an Effective Noise Control Strategy”
 August 13, 2011     MSG becomes official sponsor for the Dacus Riding Club in Brighton, TN. 
 June 14, 2011  David Reeves, HR Manager at Memphi Stone & Gravel Company and Don Broadhead and David Greene at sister Company Lehman-Roberts Company cook for the "Worlds Largest Swimming Lesson" at the Bickford Community Center in Memphis.  This was part of a world wide effort to teach swimming basics and promote water safety.
 May 28, 2011  Alan Parks teaches the "Mining Cycle" and the local geology at Central Day School in Collierville, TN

 October 1, 2011  Alan Parks joins the Memphis Archaeological & Geological Society at the "Memphis Rocks" event at the Memphis Botanical Garden
 Sept. 10-11, 2011   Memphis Stone & Gravel Company is the official sponsor of the Rodeo at the Interanational Goat Days Festival, Millington, TN
April 24-25, 2010  Once again Memphis Stone is sponsor for The Earth Wide Open at the Agricenter.  Memphis Stone sponsored the RockZone and prepared a static display for the event. Part of the proceeds to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis. Alan Parks teaches the Geology Merit Badge, Minerals Option at the event.
April 23, 2010 About 68 third-graders from Grahamwood Elementary CLUE program visit Memphis Stone's North Plant facility.  Additionally, about 30 adults tag along!  Students focuse on Memphis Stone's Bryan property reclamation project and studying rocks and fossils.
April 16, 2010 Memphis Stone & Gravel Company hosts SBEC 5th Graders at the Anderson Plant.  Approximately 60 students and 30 teachers and parents attend the field trip.
April 10, 2010    Tree planting activity conducted with the Webelos and Bears of Pack 53 at Memphis Stone's Rosenburg property.  About 45 Leland Cypress were planted as part of Memphis Stone & Gravel Company's attempt to be a good neighbor and satisfy permit conditions for its future mining operations.
December 1, 2009  A series of “Trucker Appreciation- Doughnuts for our Drivers” at select plants took place the week of December 1, 2009. Doughnuts and juice were provided along with the official rollout of our Good Neighbor Trucking Policy. November 11, 2010 Alan Parks talks to Houston High School's Life Skills Class about the mining industry and job opportunities for geologists and mining engineers.
November 4, 2010 Alan Parks presents the Mining Cycle and discusses Upland Complex geology with students at Delta State University.
Nov. 4-5, 2009 Construction Career Day hosted by MDOT, Lehman-Roberts Company and Memphis Stone & Gravel Company approximately 1200 students participate at Lehman-Roberts Company Plant 7 facility and tour Memphis Stone's Brasell Plant.

May 7, 2008     Alan Parks of Memphis Stone & Gravel Company and Jobe Madison of Lehman Roberts Company once again participate in Houston Middle School's annual career fair. 
May 3, 2008           Alan Parks teaches geology merit badge requirements at the Webelo Encampment at Camp Currier, MS.  This marks the sixth consecutive time which Memphis Stone and Gravel has participated in this fun event. See the lesson plan here:

October 2007 Memphis Stone and Gravel Company and its sister company Lehman-Roberts Company hosted the North Missisissippi Construction Career Fair. Over 1000 high school students, teachers, and volunteers from North Mississippi were  on hand for the event. >more
